The presentation of the PCA principles
Experiential workshops & exercises
Active listening and reformulation with empathy, authenticity and unconditional positive regard
Psychodrama, Existential Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, dramatization, role-playing games, projective drawings, automatic physical expression with movement, dance, spontaneous drama, aesthetic expression, art-therapy, Play Therapy, etc.
Relaxation-activation techniques, body-psycho-pedagogy
Community groups (plenary), sharing, expression, exchange of learning and experiencine.

VENUE: Municipal Area of Platia in Samothrace (Therma)

FRIDAY 11th of JULY 2025

START- 19:30

First meeting and contact with the participants and the facilitators, experiential presentation of PCA principles, focusing on the emersion and expression of the participants' needs, shaping of the content and form of the encounters as a practice of freedom and creativity, a space of being in contact with the self & nature

MORNING ENCOUNTERS: (10:00-13:00)

Experiential workshops of expression and communication characterized by an attitude of attendance, facilitation, (active) listening, empathy, authenticity and acceptance of the other.

Morning meetings/sessions are held in small groups with basic topics arising from the expressed needs and requests of the participants.

The following are some of the exercises that participants will have the chance to experience:

Experiential exercises - team "warm-up" games
Experiential workshops of introducing, expressing, communicating, developing creativity
Methods of attending, active listening and reformulation with empathy, authenticity and unconditional positive regard, according to Carl Rogers’ tradition
Methods and techniques that derive from humanistic movement (Psychodrama, Existential Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, dramatization, role-playing, projective drawings etc.)
Methods and techniques of facilitating expression and communication (automatic - spontaneous expression in written and oral speech, automatic physical expression with movement, dance, spontaneous theater, aesthetic expression, art-therapy, Play Therapy etc.)
Relaxation-activation techniques, psycho-physiological pedagogy
Methods and techniques that will emerge from the experience, creativity and ingenuity of the facilitators and participants
Experiential activities aimed in being in contact with nature, the history and the island of Samothrace itself.

AFTERNOON ENCOUNTERS: (18:00-21:00)

Encounter of all participants in a community (plenary), sharing, expression, exchange of learning and experiences
Presentation of PCA’s principles
Preparing for the morning encounters.

WEDNESDAY 16th of JULY (10:00-14:00)

Closing of the "PCA Encounter Group", impressions, feelings and farewel.

~PARTICIPANTS CERTIFICATES will be granted at the end of the Encounter Group.~

FACILITATORS' TEAM

The Group's Faciliators are Association's Members & Person-Centered Mental Health proffessionnels, who provide the process's main framework and facilitate the Participants' tendency to come in touch with themselves and the Others.
