The "Open Summer PCA Encounter Group" has been occurring annually at the beginning of July since 2017. It is a unique experiential process, through which everyone has the opportunity to relate with other people, the environment and himself.
So, for the first time, our Association invites anyone from anywhere around the globe, and most importantly from the countries of South-Eastern Europe to participate in the Summer PCA Encounter Group: SAMOTHRACE 21'. For that reason, the Group's language will be held in Greek & English (interpretation services will be provided). This year, it is also accomplished in the context celebrating the 200 years after the Greek Revolution. That is why, the theme for this year "Summer Encounter Group" is: "The universal dimension of Relating in the aftermath of the pandemic - Challenges & Future Prospects" and with the short title "Relating in the aftermath of the Pandemic", connecting in that way the importance of Greek Revolution ideals in our present "way of being" to the difficulties and changes we experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. |

What is the "Open PCA Encounter Group"?
It is about an Experiential Training Seminar especially for those who work or intend to work with groups of people (teachers, motivational therapists, managers, social workers, head/chairmen of associations/clubs, students and professionals of humanities & social sciences, etc.) but also for anyone interested as being an opportunity to meet, to provide and receive feedback after a long period of social isolation.
In the aftermath of the pandemic that shook humanity, where the importance of the relationship was tested in every level, we have the opportunity in this encounter group to get in touch with ourselves and Others again. |
Encounter in the aftermath of the Pandemic...Through an alternative suggestion of meeting and communicating with other people, an alternative suggestion of Experiential learning based on the principles and the spirit of PCA, a suggestion of freedom, active participation and creativity, we have the opportunity to reconnect to the here and now and receive feedback after a long period of rapid changes, losses and challenges.
According to Carl Rogers, PCA (Person-Centered Approach) is more of a way of living and a way of being than simply a therapeutic method or technique. |
